Podium Raceway welcomes K1 Speed to Hawai’i

After more than a decade, K1 Speed, the largest and preeminent indoor karting company in the nation, will open its first Hawai’i location in Kapolei, HI on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. With the addition of the Kapolei location, K1 Speed now operates more than 20 centers nationwide.

K1 Speed plans to feature everything that the company has built its success (and its reputation) on: all-electric, high-performance go-karts; a museum-quality collection of authentic racing memorabilia, including actual race cars; a professionally designed indoor race track with safety barriers and live telemetry; a fully stocked Pit Cafe snack bar, complete with beverages and snacks; and private meeting rooms that can be reserved for birthday and bachelor parties, team building events, company holiday parties and corporate meetings.

The original hui of local owners that started Podium Raceway Hawai’i in 2011 had a simple mission, to offer the community a new and exciting activity unlike any other in the state, to create jobs in West O’ahu, to be an active participant in the growing city of Kapolei, and to be good community partners giving back to many non-profit organizations.

Having accomplished the mission after three years, the owners of Podium Raceway and K1 Speed jointly saw an opportunity to enhance the mission for the community by transferring ownership of Podium Raceway to K1 Speed.

K1 Speed is excited to be a part of the local community and plans to take karting to the next level of customer experience.

Shermz and Big Mike had just finished an overnight midnight milsim airsoft game at Hawaii Extreme Paintball and Airsoft. We were supposed to film footage from the milsim event but it was a total pitch black situation and filming was not possible with the GoPro at the event. So what better way to end the day, or shall we say morning by having a grudge match between the two and filming some action at!

Action was filmed with a GoPro mounted on Shermz's battle helmet at eye level. All action was from the perspective of Shermz's POV.

It was just random one on one skirmishes on the fields of HEPA. Thanks to the guys at Mil5im (who held the milsim event) and HEPA for letting us use the field at the time. We had a lot of fun!

Enjoy some of the somewhat, airsoft!

Shermz heads out to the HRA 21st Annual Shooting Sports Fair at the Kokohead Shooting Complex on Oahu. The event allows the public to come out and try many types of firearms such as rifles, shotguns and pistols.

This event only happens once every year usually in June on Father's Day weekend. Shermz set out with the GoPro with a POV perspective on what kind of day to expect at the event. Check it out!

Remember to always practice, exercise and educate gun safety!

Charlie always had a thing for lowriders.  Have you seen the rides in his car club?  The majority of the rides consists of very sweet lowrider style vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles.  But it doesn't stop there.  You also have today's modern modded rides that also bare the name, Supremacy Car Club Hawaii.  But if you notice how the club has evolved from the usual 1964 Chevy Impalas and the 1987 Buick Regals, you now can find the sweetness in classics such as the 1953 GMC 1/2 Ton Long Bed Trokita or Charlies 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline Bomber.

The car which originally was brought in its stock factory stage into Hawaii from California was quickly modded by Charlie who added Dayton wheels and an aftermarket airbag suspension giving it the look of sexiness.

What better place to do a photo shoot in Charlies hometown of Kalihi.  This photo of the pink building in the background was right in front of Doris Market.  Which in our opinion, is a historic landmark in Kalihi Valley.

A place we love to call Kalihifornia!  Now home to one of the sweetest rides to roam the streets we call "GNGSTA" of Supremacy Car Club Hawaii.  Charlies 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline Bomber.
