The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for the State of Hawaii effective 12:46 a.m.
A tsunami warning means that a destructive wave, or waves, may have been generated by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Chile at 8:34 p.m. HST on Friday.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center estimates the first wave arrival time in Hawaii will be at about 11:19 a.m. today, Saturday, February 27, at Hilo.
Outdoor siren systems in each county will sound simultaneously at 6:00 a.m. to alert residents and visitors to evacuate coastal areas.
Residents will be advised by their respective county civil defense or emergency management agencies to evacuate coastal areas.
Residents are urged to follow civil defense instructions.
To determine whether or not you live or work in an evacuation zone, go to www.scd.hawaii.gov and enter your address in the Tsunami Evacuation Zone Mapping Tool, or check the Disaster Preparedness Guide in the front of your telephone directory.
The city of Honolulu has lost an icon today. Former Mayor, Frank Fasi passed away overnight at the age of 89.
His legacy while being Mayor of Honolulu is the opening of the Neal S. Blaisdell Center and establishing the award-winning public transportation system, "TheBus."

So one day, Shane of Fanatic Brand asks me about doing a collaboration T-shirt. I didn't hesitate one bit and I gave him the thumbs up. Governor Linda Lingle today announced that Hawai'i will be the location for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," the fourth installment of the highly successful Walt Disney Pictures' action adventure film series from Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
The Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger met with Governor Lingle on Friday to share the news that the islands of Kaua'i and O'ahu will be sites for the production of the feature film, which will begin shooting this summer and is slated to be released in summer 2011. The production is expected to generate an estimated $85 million in direct and indirect spending in Hawai'i, providing a needed economic boost for the state's economy as well as creating hundreds of jobs for local residents. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will star Johnny Depp, returning to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

So the one of the big news this week was a controversial UFO in the dark skies of Norway. Many thought at first that it was indeed a UFO, but infact it was a failed nuclear missle test from the Russian defense. It's still a spectacular sight to see a Bulava missle spin out of control causing a spiral and then forming to what it seems like a black hole in space. Yes ohhhhhh yes...another MW2 multiplayer gameplay trailer...and it's uncut! The more and more I keep seeing gameplay, the more and more the anticipation builds up. Just take a look at this video...IT'S NUTS! One thing I noticed was the blood spatter on the screen when you get hit. It looks so fricken real! We're two and a half more months into the release of Modern Warfare 2, so keep polishing your skills on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Wait till the end of the video. One more new thing added to the game...SO CRAZY!
We mentioned earlier that the Jabbawockeez will be returning to Hawaii. Well here it is! We'd like to announce that the Jabbawockeez will be returning and performing live at Pipeline Cafe for Dance Supremacy 2009 on September 11, 2009 (all ages welcomed) and on September 12, 2009 (21 and over).

Of course as the years go by and the future seems to already been yesterday, the evolution of games just get crazier and crazier! Here's the E3 2009 demo of the upcoming game "DJ Hero" which projected release date is at the end of October 2009. There's a lot of mix reviews from positive to way to many negative feedback about the upcoming release of DJ Hero, but of course...fan boys will be fan boys! Just give it a chance, who knows...you might like it.
